Robert A. Helsten, MD is a family medicine physician who has been in practice for 40 years. He provides a complete range of primary care, acute injury care, and injury rehabilitation services to patients from the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area at Advanced Healthcare Clinics office in Denton, Texas.

In addition to specializing in physical rehabilitation and pain management, Dr. Helsten is an expert in emergency room medicine who has honed his urgent care and acute injury treatment skills in several Texas hospitals.

Whether his patients are recovering from accident trauma or dealing with a chronic health condition, Dr. Helsten believes his primary role as a physician is to provide his patients with the education, advice, care, compassion, and support they need to achieve optimal health.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 1977, Dr. Helsten went on to complete both his internship and his residency at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi Memorial. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Helsten is licensed to practice medicine in Texas, and is affiliated with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton.
